Wavy Table Lamp in Black – Sculptural Fluted Shade Lamp 57cm
Important Note: As this is an oversized item, it will incur an oversize fee. Please contact us prior to purchase so we can provide a custom freight quote for your location.
The shape is the whole argument here. A zig-zag stem in matte black, a pleated shade in warm off-white, and the contrast between the two is what makes the Wavy Table Lamp read as a piece of sculpture that happens to switch on.
Black is the more graphic of the two finishes. It draws a clean outline against pale walls and light timber, which is why it works so well in rooms that are mostly neutral and need one thing to anchor the eye. If you would rather the lamp add warmth than definition, the same silhouette comes in a brushed brass colourway.
At 36cm wide and 57cm tall it suits a bedside table, sideboard or hallway console, and the in-line switch on the black PVC cord means you are not reaching behind furniture last thing at night. It takes a standard E27 screw bulb and is certified to AU and NZ standards.
Dimensions: 36cm (W) x 57cm (H)
Questions We Get Asked
Is a bulb included?
No, the bulb is sold separately. The lamp takes a standard E27 screw fitting. Choose a warm white globe around 2700K, which softens the black frame and warms the pleated shade. A cool daylight bulb will make the whole thing feel clinical. The rest of our lighting collection is worth a browse if you are layering several light sources.
Does it work as a bedside pair?
It does, and two is how the shape looks best. Symmetry suits the wavy stem, and at 57cm the shade sits at a comfortable height beside most bed frames. Get in touch if you need a pair and we will confirm what is available.
Does the matte black show marks?
Matte finishes show fingerprints more readily than gloss, so handle it by the shade or the base rather than the stem. A dry, soft cloth is all it needs. Skip household sprays and metal polishes.
Why You'll Love It
-
Sculptural by design – The wavy stem reads as an object, not just a light source
-
Graphic contrast – Matte black metal against a soft pleated shade in warm off-white
-
Easy to place – In-line switch and a standard E27 fitting, no rewiring required
-
Works in pairs – Bedside, console or sideboard, on its own or matched
-
Certified build – Meets AU and NZ electrical standards
Where It Lives Best
-
On a console in a room with a lot of white, where one dark shape does more than three pale ones
-
In a pair on bedside tables, letting the symmetry carry the styling
-
Beside a pale ceramic vase of dried or faux stems, so the curve of the base echoes the line of the branches
-
Paired with black-framed art or a black clock, so the finish repeats rather than sits alone
-
In a pared-back scheme built on restraint, which is exactly the territory our minimalist edit covers
Also In These Images
The lamp is styled with our Ceramic Wave Tray, the Organic Travertine Catchall Tray and our faux Tulip Bouquet. The books in the stacks are The Art of Home by Shea McGee, Chanel Catwalk, Hare + Klein Interior and The Nordic Home.

Giving It as a Gift
It makes a generous housewarming or wedding gift, especially for someone who has just moved into a place with white walls and one overhead light. Pair it with a warm bulb and a book so it lands as a finished idea rather than a single object, or give it as a milestone gift for a first home or a significant birthday. There are more ideas along these lines in our gifts for the new home edit.
The Takeaway
The Wavy Table Lamp in black is a 36 x 57cm sculptural table lamp with a matte black zig-zag metal stem, a round black base and a pleated off-white fabric shade. It takes a standard E27 bulb (not included), has an in-line switch on a black PVC cord, and is certified to AU and NZ standards. It suits bedside tables, consoles and sideboards in minimalist, Scandi and Japandi interiors, works especially well bought as a pair, and is also available in brushed brass. Sold by Flux Boutique in Mount Maunganui with delivery across New Zealand. As an oversized item it requires a custom freight quote before purchase.

How much is shipping within New Zealand?
New Zealand orders under NZ$100 are shipped for a flat rate of NZ$7. Shipping is free on orders of NZ$100 or more.
Selected furniture, fragile, bulky and oversized products are excluded from these offers. If an exact freight charge cannot be calculated at checkout, we will contact you with a quote before dispatch. No additional freight will be charged without your agreement.
How much is shipping to Australia?
Shipping to Australia is quoted individually. Please email contact@fluxboutique.co.nz before ordering with the products you are interested in and your delivery address, and we will confirm availability and provide a freight quote.

We aim to dispatch in-stock products within 1–2 working days.
During sales, public holidays and other peak periods, please allow approximately 4–5 working days. Working days exclude weekends and New Zealand public holidays.
Special-order products may take up to 10 working days unless a different timeframe is shown on the product page. Estimated arrival dates for preorder products are also provided in their individual descriptions.

Once dispatched, estimated New Zealand delivery times are:
-
North Island: Usually 1–2 working days
-
South Island: Usually 2–3 working days
-
Rural addresses: Allow an additional 1–2 working days
These are courier estimates rather than guaranteed delivery dates.
If you need something by a particular date, please contact us before ordering. We will let you know whether the timeframe appears achievable, but we cannot guarantee a courier delivery date.
Where can I find my tracking information?
Where tracking is available, your dispatch-confirmation email will contain a link to follow your parcel.
If you cannot see the email, check your spam or promotions folder. You can also view available tracking information through your order-confirmation page.
If tracking has not updated or your parcel appears delayed, email contact@fluxboutique.co.nz with your order number.
Why haven’t I received a dispatch-confirmation email?
Your order may still be within its stated processing timeframe.
Please check the product description, as special-order, preorder, custom-made and incoming-stock products may require additional time.

What happens if my parcel is lost or damaged?
If your parcel is lost in transit, arrives damaged or contains the wrong product, contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Once approved, we can provide an exchange or Flux Boutique store credit. Refunds are not offered for change-of-mind returns.
Sale and clearance products may be exchanged or returned for Flux Boutique store credit, provided they meet our return conditions. Custom-made, personalised and specially ordered products are final sale once production or supplier ordering has begun.

If you request cancellation of a standard in-stock order before dispatch because you have changed your mind, we may cancel it and issue the amount paid as Flux Boutique store credit. Store credit does not expire.
We cannot guarantee cancellation once packing or courier collection has begun. If the order has already been dispatched, our standard return conditions apply.
A refund to the original payment method will be provided where Flux Boutique cancels the order, cannot supply the product, you do not accept a freight charge quoted after checkout, or a refund is otherwise required under New Zealand law.
How do I arrange a return?
Email contact@fluxboutique.co.nz with your order number, the product you wish to return and the reason for the return.
