Nordic Still

Nordic Still is the quietest room in the house. It takes the Scandinavian foundation and slows it right down, stripping out anything that asks for attention until what is left is light, surface and a very small number of good objects.

The restraint is the point. A pale timber shelf holding one vase. A wall left blank on purpose. Wool, linen and unglazed ceramic in chalk, bone and the softest grey, so the only real event in the room is the way the light moves across it during the day.
