Miffy is drawn with a handful of simple lines, and that simplicity is why she works in a grown-up room as easily as a nursery. A Miffy lamp on a shelf reads as a design piece first and a children's character second.

Most of our Miffy range is from Mr Maria, a design company based in Amsterdam. The Miffy Star Light is 50cm tall, with six brightness settings and a touch dimmer on the cable. The Miffy First Light is 30cm tall and rechargeable, with Boris and Snuffy versions too, and the Bundle of Light is a 15cm soft silicone light that runs on a CR2032 battery and switches off after 15 minutes. From Maison Deux there is a Miffy wall rug and an 80 x 111cm floor rug, both hand-tufted in New Zealand wool, plus a 23cm cream Miffy Sitting Teddy.

In a nursery, set the Star Light low as a night light and hang the wall rug where it can be seen from the cot but not reached. For more, see our nursery range.

Are Mr Maria Miffy lamps rechargeable?
The Miffy and Snuffy First Light lamps are rechargeable, so they can move from the bedside to the change table without a cord. The 50cm Star Light has a touch dimmer on its power cable, and the Bundle of Light runs on a CR2032 battery.

Which Miffy lamp works best as a night light?
The Star Light has six brightness settings, including an ultra-soft night mode, which makes it the most flexible. The First Light lamps are dimmable too, and the smaller Bundle of Light switches itself off after 15 minutes.

What size is the Miffy floor rug?
The Maison Deux Miffy Floor Rug measures 80 x 111cm and is hand-tufted in New Zealand wool, which suits a spot beside the bed or in a reading corner. The matching Miffy wall rug is also hand-tufted New Zealand wool.

Is the Miffy range only for kids?
Not at all. The Star Light is designed to sit as easily in a living room or bedroom as in a nursery, and the monochrome Miffy face suits a Scandi or minimalist scheme.
