The Christmas Gift Guide 2026: Considered Gifts for Everyone on Your List

Christmas shopping goes one of two ways. Either you start early, with a list and a plan, or you find yourself on the 23rd of December standing in a shop with no idea what anyone wants. This guide is for both. It is organised by person rather than by price, because that is how most of us actually think about a gift list.

Keep an eye on delivery cut-off dates if you are ordering online, and remember that we offer complimentary gift wrapping in store and online.

For the homebody

The person whose idea of a perfect evening is the couch, a candle and a good series. Give them something that makes staying in feel like a treat.

The Ecoya Celebration Reed Diffuser in White Musk & Warm Vanilla comes in a cut glass vessel with black reeds and a patterned gift box. It looks like a special occasion before it is even unwrapped. Pair it with a Madison Jar Soy Candle for a gift that fills a whole room.

For the host

The friend who always has people over, and who will be hosting half of your family on Boxing Day. Give them something for the table.

The Amalfi Fluted Wine Glasses and matching Amalfi Water Decanter are pieces a good host will use every week. For the one who cooks, the Write To Me Recipe Journal is a keepsake they will fill for years. See our coastal Kiwi Christmas table for more on setting a summer table.

For the design lover

The person whose home looks like a magazine and who notices everything. Choose something with design credentials.

The 2027 Stendig Calendar is the obvious answer, a 1966 Massimo Vignelli design that arrives just in time for the new year. For something smaller, the Karlsson Cone Alarm Clock in sand brown is a sculptural bedside piece, and a coffee table book such as The Nordic Home by Gestalten is always well received.

For the reader

Books are one of the few gifts that almost never get returned. Our Gift Ideas for the Bookworm collection covers coffee table books, fiction and the Brianna Wiest titles our customers keep coming back for. Add a journal, such as the One Line a Day Five-Year Memory Book, for someone who would love to start writing in the new year.

For him, and the hard to buy for

The perennial question. Our advice is to go for something he would use but not buy for himself. The Smith & Co. Tabac & Cedarwood Diffuser and matching Hand & Body Wash are warm and woody, and the Perfume Oil Gift Set for Him lets him find a scent he likes. For the car-proud, the Ecoya Car Diffuser is always a winner.

See Gift Ideas for Him for the full edit.

For the little ones

Gifts for children that parents will be glad to have in the house. The Little People, BIG DREAMS biographies introduce children to remarkable lives, and the Bengali Collections bedding and quilts are the kind of gift that gets used every night. Browse gifts for girls, gifts for boys and gifts for baby.

For the last-minute

If it really is the 23rd, a Flux Boutique Gift Voucher never expires and can be spent in store or online. And for teachers and colleagues, see our guides to end-of-year teacher gifts and gift ideas by price.

Or start with our Gift Edit, a tight selection of the pieces we would most like to give this year.
