A rug is the quickest way to make a room feel finished. It marks out a seating area, softens hard floors and adds the texture that bare timber and tile cannot. Ours lean natural and neutral, chosen to sit quietly under whatever the room is doing.

The range covers the classic Flokati, hand woven in Greece from 100% wool with a deep shag pile, in seven sizes including a 200cm round. The Evie comes in Scandi Cream & Grey or Nordic Cream & Black, machine woven in Belgium from polypropylene with a soft pile that handles daily traffic. For texture there is the Eka, handwoven in India from 100% jute, the reversible Lincoln loop-pile in natural cream, and the Brompton in charcoal, a hand woven wool blend.

Size up rather than down: in a living room, the front legs of the sofa and chairs should sit on the rug. Use an underlay to stop slipping. Most rugs are special order and ship as oversized freight, so contact us for availability. Pair with a throw from our throws collection.

What size rug do I need for a living room?
Size up. The front legs of the sofa and chairs should sit on the rug so the seating reads as one group, which in a standard lounge often means 200 x 300cm. A rug that is too small makes the whole room look unfinished.

Is a wool rug practical with kids or pets?
More than people expect. Wool is naturally resilient, resists dirt and hides everyday marks, especially in a long pile like the Flokati. Shake it out or vacuum on a low setting, blot spills straight away, and have it professionally cleaned now and then.

How do I clean a jute rug?
Vacuum regularly and blot spills immediately with a dry cloth, as jute does not like getting wet. Rotate it every six months so it wears evenly, and use an underlay to protect the floor and keep the rug in place.
