The best kitchen tools are the ones you stop noticing because they simply work. Dishy makes that kind of thing, with traditional craftsmanship from Germany and materials that age well: beech and olive wood, white enamel, pine, marble and natural fibre.

Our Dishy range covers beechwood spoons, scoops, pastry brushes and toast tongs, a five-minute sand timer and a paper towel holder, plus white enamel mugs, a tumbler, a serving bowl and a one litre water jug. For the washing up there are Swedish dish cloths, copper cleaning cloths, a tampico bottle brush, a microfibre drying mat and a folding pine dish rack. There is even a nine-piece beechwood tool set sized for kids.

Wooden tools last longest washed by hand and dried straight away, with an occasional rub of food-safe oil. The enamel pieces are dishwasher safe. Hang tongs and spoons from a rail, and see our kitchen collection for the rest of the bench.

How do I care for Dishy beechwood utensils?
Wash wooden spoons, scoops and tongs by hand in warm soapy water, dry them straight away and never leave them soaking. A light rub with food-safe oil every so often stops the timber drying out and keeps the grain smooth.

Is Dishy enamelware dishwasher safe?
Yes. Dishy enamel is made by fusing glass onto heavy-gauge steel, and the serving spoons and bowls are dishwasher safe and heat safe to 270°C. Enamel can chip if dropped hard, so treat it like good china rather than camping gear.

What is a Swedish dish cloth?
It is a thin, absorbent cloth that works like a cross between a sponge and a tea towel. Wipe benches and dishes, rinse it out and let it dry flat between uses. Dishy's come as a two pack in tarragon and black.

Is the kids beechwood tool set for real cooking?
It is designed for little hands, with nine pieces including a rolling pin, whisk, mini tongs, spatula and spoons. Use it on baking days alongside an adult, or for pretend play in a toy kitchen.
