Kids bedding gets slept in, spilled on, dragged onto the floor and washed twice a week. It has to survive all of that and still look like something you chose on purpose. That is a narrower brief than it sounds, and it is why we stock the brands that do both rather than the ones that only photograph well.

Start with the fitted sheet and build up from there. Jersey cotton for the layer that gets the most wear, a reversible quilt that can come off the bed and onto the floor for reading, one pillowcase that makes the bed feel like theirs rather than yours. Keep the palette close to the rest of the house and the room stops looking like a separate country.

What does Oeko-Tex certified mean?
It means the fabric has been tested for harmful substances and passed. For anything that spends the night against a child's skin it is a useful thing to look for, and most of our Bengali Collections bedding carries it.

Why jersey cotton for kids bedding?
Jersey is knitted rather than woven, so it has a little stretch, it does not need ironing and it softens rather than wears out. It also goes on a cot mattress without a fight at ten o'clock at night.

What sizes do you stock?
Cot and kids sizes across the fitted sheets, duvet covers and quilts, plus euro pillowcases at 60 x 60cm for the beds that take them. Sizes are listed on each product page.

How do I make a kids room look pulled together?
Pick one pattern and let everything else be plain. A gingham or stripe quilt with plain sheets reads calmer than three patterns competing, and it means you can change one piece later without starting again.
