Planters & Pots

Potted's Oslo, Milan, Vienna and Zurich ceramics, Zakkia concrete pots, Umbra hanging planters and our own Egg Head and Seashell designs, from desk size to floor. Most have no drainage hole, so keep the plant in its nursery pot inside, or skip watering with faux plants.

Pots and planters for real plants and faux ones alike. Our collection covers ceramic, stoneware, terracotta and concrete planters from Potted, Zakkia and our own Flux Home range, plus arch pots, plant stands and hanging holders. Sizes run from a desk-friendly 10cm through to statement floor pots for a fiddle leaf or olive tree, in white, oat, sage, charcoal and natural clay.

Most of our planters have no drainage hole, which suits indoor use with a nursery pot inside. If you're dressing a faux plant, our faux plants collection notes the pot size each one suits, and watering cans, misters and tools live in Plant Care & Propagation. See the full potted faux plants range or browse ceramics. Shipping New Zealand wide from Mount Maunganui.

Do I need a pot with a drainage hole?
For live plants, drainage matters. Choose a pot with a hole, like the Potted Zurich or Wide Oslo, or use a cover pot with the plant left in its plastic nursery pot inside, and tip out any water that pools after watering.

What is a self-watering planter?
A self-watering planter has a built-in reservoir that the plant draws water from as it needs it, so you top up less often. The Potted Berlin self-watering planter comes in Eucalypt ceramic in two sizes.

What size pot should I choose?
For a live plant, pick a pot 2cm to 5cm wider than the nursery pot so there is room to repot later. For a faux plant, measure the base and choose a pot it drops into snugly, then fill any gap with moss or pebbles.

How do I hang a plant from the ceiling?
Screw a ceiling hook into a joist rather than plasterboard alone, as a watered plant is heavier than it looks. Umbra's Bolo holder mounts to a wall or ceiling, and the TRIFLORA hanging planters make a small window garden.
