Getting the Most From It

Trim the wick to 5mm before every light to keep the flame steady and the glass clean. On the first burn, let the wax melt all the way to the edges, which takes around two to three hours, so it sets an even pool and avoids tunnelling. Keep subsequent burns to no more than three to four hours at a time, set the candle on a heat-resistant surface away from draughts, and never leave it burning unattended. Discontinue when about 10mm of wax remains.
