Arriving November.

Texture is what stops a neutral room going flat, and grasses are the cheapest way to get it. Each of these sprays carries five foxtail heads on fine arching stems, the kind that catch a draught and move slightly when someone walks past.

Beige is the paler option, close to wheat, and disappears politely into a bone or oat palette. Cocoa is deeper and warmer, and gives more definition against white walls. Setaria is also sold as foxtail grass, foxtail millet or bristle grass, all describing the same soft cylindrical head.

Why You'll Love It

  • Five heads per stem, so a handful fills a large vessel
  • Soft arching movement rather than stiff upright form
  • None of the shedding that comes with real dried grasses
  • Two neutrals that suit Japandi, coastal and Scandi palettes equally

Where It Lives Best

Setaria belongs in something tall and narrow. A floor vessel in a corner, or a slim ceramic on a sideboard, lets the heads arch out at the top where they are seen. Keep the arrangement to grasses alone for a quiet, textural look, or introduce one sculptural branch for contrast. It sits naturally alongside our Japandi style pieces and the wider stems range. Avoid tight round bowls, which fight the natural arch of the stem.

Gifting

This is a good gift for someone with a minimal, pared-back home who is difficult to buy for, particularly paired with a simple vessel from our vases range.

FAQs

Will it shed like real dried grass?
No. This is the main argument for a faux version. Real setaria drops constantly once it dries out, and this does not, which matters if it is sitting above a sofa or a dining table.

How do I stop it looking sparse?
Use more stems than feels necessary. Grasses read as texture rather than form, so seven to nine in a tall vessel looks intentional where three looks apologetic.

In Short

The Setaria 5 Head Spray is a 91.5cm faux foxtail grass stem in Beige or Cocoa, carrying five soft arching heads. It adds dried-look texture without shedding, suits tall narrow vessels and floor arrangements, and works across Japandi, coastal and Scandinavian interiors.
