Arriving November.

Height is the hardest thing to buy for an arrangement. Most stems give you a head at the top and bare wire below, which looks awkward once it clears the rim of the vase. Rice plant solves it, with grains running most of the way down the stem and a natural droop at the tip that keeps the whole thing from looking rigid.

Toasted Natural is a warm wheat brown, deeper than a straw tone and rich enough to hold its own against dark timber. Rice plant is also sold as rice grass, oryza or dried rice stem.

Why You'll Love It

  • Grains along the length of the stem, not just at the tip
  • A natural arching droop that softens tall arrangements
  • Five heads per stem, so a few fill a large vessel
  • None of the shedding of real dried rice

Product Details

  • Length: approx. 114cm
  • Five heads per spray
  • Colour: Toasted Natural

Where It Lives Best

This is a floor vase stem, or one for a tall vessel on the ground beside a sofa or in an entry corner. Because the movement is in the droop, give it room to arch rather than pressing it against a wall. It works beautifully as the tallest element in a mixed group, with shorter stems filling in below. The warm tone sits naturally with the Japandi style collection.

Gifting

For someone who has just moved into a place with high ceilings and nothing to fill them, this paired with a floor vessel from vases is a useful housewarming gift.

FAQs

Is it tall enough for a floor vase?
Yes, and that is where it is at its best. Five heads per stem means three or four stems fill a large floor vessel convincingly.

Will the grains fall off?
No. Real dried rice sheds grains across the floor for months. These are fixed.

In Short

The Rice Plant 5 Head Spray is a faux dried rice grass stem in Toasted Natural, with grains running the length of the stem and a natural arching droop. It is built for floor vases and tall vessels, adds height and movement to mixed arrangements, and does not shed.
