Burlap Round Ceramic Tray, Off White 29.5cm
Some objects are easy to place and impossible to replace. The Zakkia Burlap Round Tray in a warm off-white ceramic brings a surface texture that recalls the raw, woven quality of hessian and the quiet sheen of natural linoleum. It is minimal and sophisticated in equal measure, the kind of considered design that makes everything around it look more intentional.
At 29.5cm in diameter and 3.0cm thick, it sits beautifully on a coffee table, bedside surface, bathroom shelf, or dining sideboard. Use it to corral a candle and a small ceramic object, to hold jewellery and everyday essentials, or simply to anchor a vignette and give a surface some visual structure. The Burlap Tray is designed to be open to interpretation. There is no single right way to use it, which is exactly what makes it so endlessly useful.
The wrapped silhouette is clean and low-profile, and the warm off-white finish brings a softness that pure white simply cannot. It sits beautifully against natural timbers, warm linens, and earthy tones without ever competing. It pairs naturally with the rest of our Zakkia collection, and sits especially well alongside our ceramic vases and coffee table styling pieces for a layered, cohesive look.
Whether you are building a considered shelfscape, styling a bathroom counter, or finishing off a bedside table, the Burlap Tray brings that quiet sense of everything being in its right place. It is also a genuinely beautiful gift. See our homebody gift edit for pairing ideas.
Dimensions: 29.5cm diameter x 3.0cm thick
FAQ
What is the Burlap Tray made from?
It is a handcrafted ceramic piece with a surface texture inspired by hessian (burlap) fabric and the feel of natural linoleum. The finish is a warm off-white rather than a pure white, with subtle tonal variation as a natural result of the handmade process.
Can it be used outdoors?
The Burlap Tray is suitable for covered outdoor settings such as a sheltered balcony or outdoor entertaining area, but is not designed for prolonged exposure to weather or moisture.
Is it food safe?
This tray is designed as a decorative and lifestyle piece rather than for food use. We recommend using it for display, styling, and everyday organising rather than direct food contact.
What size is the Burlap Round Tray?
It measures 29.5cm in diameter and 3.0cm in depth.
Is this available in store?
Yes, the Zakkia Burlap Round Tray is available at our Mount Maunganui store at 270 Maunganui Road, subject to availability.
Why You'll Love It
- Handcrafted ceramic with a tactile hessian-inspired surface texture
- Warm off-white finish that brings softness and depth, not the starkness of pure white
- Clean, low-profile silhouette that works on coffee tables, bedsides, bathrooms, and more
- Minimal wrapped design that is as sophisticated as it is versatile
- A beautiful gift for anyone who appreciates considered, design-led homewares
Styling Tips
On a coffee table, place the Burlap Tray slightly off-centre and layer it with a single pillar candle and a small ceramic object. A bud vase or a smooth stone works well. In a bathroom, use it to hold a hand cream, a small diffuser, and a neatly folded face cloth. On a bedside table, it keeps the surface feeling organised without looking utilitarian. The warm off-white finish is particularly flattering against natural timber, raw linen, aged brass, and washed concrete. It brings warmth rather than contrast. For a cohesive tonal vignette, pair with other off-white and natural ceramic pieces from the Zakkia range.
Gifting Ideas
The Zakkia Burlap Round Tray is a near-perfect gift for the person who is particular about their home. It is the kind of piece that someone might not buy for themselves but will reach for every single day. Pair it with an Ecoya Madison Jar candle and a small botanical for a housewarming gift that feels genuinely curated, or add it to a Write To Me journal and a Lily & George piece for a layered, considered present. Works beautifully for birthdays, Mother's Day, or as a thank-you gift.
What it comes down to
The Zakkia Burlap Round Tray is a 29.5cm handcrafted ceramic tray in warm off-white with a hessian-inspired texture. A calm, versatile base for candles, jewellery and everyday objects, and a considered housewarming or Mother's Day gift.

How much is shipping within New Zealand?
New Zealand orders under NZ$100 are shipped for a flat rate of NZ$7. Shipping is free on orders of NZ$100 or more.
Selected furniture, fragile, bulky and oversized products are excluded from these offers. If an exact freight charge cannot be calculated at checkout, we will contact you with a quote before dispatch. No additional freight will be charged without your agreement.
How much is shipping to Australia?
Shipping to Australia is quoted individually. Please email contact@fluxboutique.co.nz before ordering with the products you are interested in and your delivery address, and we will confirm availability and provide a freight quote.

We aim to dispatch in-stock products within 1–2 working days.
During sales, public holidays and other peak periods, please allow approximately 4–5 working days. Working days exclude weekends and New Zealand public holidays.
Special-order products may take up to 10 working days unless a different timeframe is shown on the product page. Estimated arrival dates for preorder products are also provided in their individual descriptions.

Once dispatched, estimated New Zealand delivery times are:
-
North Island: Usually 1–2 working days
-
South Island: Usually 2–3 working days

Rural addresses: Allow an additional 1–2 working days
These are courier estimates rather than guaranteed delivery dates.
If you need something by a particular date, please contact us before ordering. We will let you know whether the timeframe appears achievable, but we cannot guarantee a courier delivery date.
Where can I find my tracking information?
Where tracking is available, your dispatch-confirmation email will contain a link to follow your parcel.
If you cannot see the email, check your spam or promotions folder. You can also view available tracking information through your order-confirmation page.
If tracking has not updated or your parcel appears delayed, email contact@fluxboutique.co.nz with your order number.
Why haven’t I received a dispatch-confirmation email?
Your order may still be within its stated processing timeframe.
Please check the product description, as special-order, preorder, custom-made and incoming-stock products may require additional time.
If the expected dispatch timeframe has passed, email contact@fluxboutique.co.nz with your order number and we will check its progress.
What happens if my parcel is lost or damaged?
If your parcel is lost in transit, arrives damaged or contains the wrong product, contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Once approved, we can provide an exchange or Flux Boutique store credit. Refunds are not offered for change-of-mind returns.
Sale and clearance products may be exchanged or returned for Flux Boutique store credit, provided they meet our return conditions. Custom-made, personalised and specially ordered products are final sale once production or supplier ordering has begun.
Please read our complete Return and Refund Policy for full conditions.

Can I cancel an order?
Please contact us as quickly as possible if you need to cancel an order.
If you request cancellation of a standard in-stock order before dispatch because you have changed your mind, we may cancel it and issue the amount paid as Flux Boutique store credit. Store credit does not expire.
We cannot guarantee cancellation once packing or courier collection has begun. If the order has already been dispatched, our standard return conditions apply.
A refund to the original payment method will be provided where Flux Boutique cancels the order, cannot supply the product, you do not accept a freight charge quoted after checkout, or a refund is otherwise required under New Zealand law.
How do I arrange a return?
Email contact@fluxboutique.co.nz with your order number, the product you wish to return and the reason for the return.
Please wait for approval and return instructions before sending the product, particularly if it is faulty, fragile or oversized.
