The plastic yellow and green sponge has had its day. Good Change Eco Scrubs are made from loofah plant and wood cellulose, stitched together with cotton rather than glued, so there are no synthetic adhesives holding them together and nothing to shed into your sink.

The loofah is naturally gentle, which makes these safe on non-stick pots and pans, taps, handles and shower doors. They come as a 2-pack so you can rotate one while the other dries.

Why You'll Love It

  • Plastic-free and compostable: loofah and wood cellulose only
  • Stitched, not glued: no toxic adhesives, and you can unpick the stitching to separate the sponge and loofah if you prefer
  • Gentle but effective: safe on non-stick, glassware and delicate surfaces
  • Kitchen and bathroom: dishes, sinks, tiles, soap scum, even fruit and vegetables
  • Low odour: rinse, keep aerated and they will not stink
  • 2 per pack so one can dry while the other works

Frequently Asked Questions

They are rock hard out of the pack. Is that right?
Yes. They arrive in their natural hardened form with no plastic wrap or added softeners. Wet them and they soften, and after a few uses they feel like any kitchen sponge.

Will they shift baked-on grime?
Not as aggressively as a scouring pad, which is the trade-off for being safe on non-stick. Soak the pan first, and keep steel wool in reserve for the worst jobs.

Any uses beyond the dishes?
They are excellent for scrubbing carrots and potatoes without shedding microplastics onto your food, and gentle enough for exfoliating skin in the shower.
