Introducing the Ecoya Kitchen Collection: One Scent for the Whole Bench

Spring arrives at the kitchen sink before it arrives anywhere else. The windows open, the bench gets its first real clean since June, and the three bottles that have lived beside the tap all winter suddenly look like what they are: mismatched, half empty and chosen in a hurry. Ecoya's updated Kitchen Collection has just arrived in store and online, and it solves that particular problem with one decision rather than three.

One fragrance, three jobs

The whole collection is built around a single scent, Tahitian Lime & Grapefruit: zesty grapefruit, lemon and Tahitian lime lifted by a subtle hint of rhubarb tea, which is what stops it reading as generic citrus cleaner. The hand wash, dish wash and surface spray all carry it, so the sink area reads as one thought rather than three competing smells. It is fresh without being sharp and suits a kitchen far better than anything floral would. Ecoya describes every formulation as plant-based, vegan friendly and made without harsh ingredients, and the full range sits in our Ecoya Kitchen Collection.

Hands, first

The Tahitian Lime & Grapefruit Hand Wash is built for frequency. Kitchen hands get washed ten times in an evening, particularly around raw ingredients, so the formula prioritises being gentle over being foamy and leaves hands clean without that tight, papery feeling at the end of a big cook. The 450ml pump bottle is designed to sit out in the open, which matters when it is the most used object on the bench. Buy it once and live on the 1L refill pouch, which by Ecoya's figures works out around 44 percent cheaper per millilitre and uses 77 percent less plastic.

Dishes, nightly

Nobody has made washing up appealing, so the least the Dish Wash can do is smell good and not wreck your hands. It handles a normal night's dishes without drama and stays gentle on skin, which you notice on your knuckles by about Thursday if you wash by hand every night. Soak the roasting pan first, as you should anyway, and let the wash do the rest. There is a 1L refill pouch for this one too. At $29.95 it is the easiest way into the range and the piece most people try first.

Bench, after

The Surface Spray is the one that closes the loop. It cleans and fragrances in a single pass. Ecoya's stated claim is that it also sanitises, killing 99 percent of germs without harsh ingredients and without needing to be rinsed off, which is why they list it as suitable for the surfaces where you actually prepare food. Benches, splashbacks, the table, the front of the fridge. Most surface sprays leave a room smelling like a swimming pool changing room for twenty minutes. This one leaves it smelling like a kitchen you would want to cook in, which turns out to be the difference between wiping the bench and not bothering.

All three, boxed

The Tahitian Lime & Grapefruit Kitchen Gift Set puts the hand wash, dish wash and surface spray together, which makes it the obvious housewarming present and a genuinely good thank you for anyone who has cooked for you this winter. Add the Ecoya Maisy jar candle and it becomes a proper kitchen set. It sits alongside the rest of our gift ideas for the home.

A note on the previous range

Ecoya has retired the Juniper Berry & Mint fragrance. We have a small amount of the Juniper Berry & Mint Hand Wash left as final stock, and the previous edition of the Dish Liquid is reduced while the last few bottles go. Once they are gone, the kitchen range is Tahitian Lime & Grapefruit throughout. If you are carrying one clean scent across the whole house, the updated laundry collection arrived at the same time and is worth reading alongside this.

Ecoya's 2026 Kitchen Collection runs a single fragrance, Tahitian Lime & Grapefruit, across a gentle kitchen hand wash, a plant-based dish wash and a surface spray that cleans, fragrances and, by Ecoya's claim, sanitises in one step. Ecoya describes all three as vegan friendly and made without harsh ingredients, the hand wash and dish wash come with 1L refill pouches, and the gift set boxes the trio for housewarmings. The full range is available now at Flux Boutique, 270 Maunganui Road, Mount Maunganui, and online.
