Small, round and endlessly useful, gum drop eucalyptus is the stem that makes an arrangement look finished. The leaves are coin shaped and slightly cupped, in a dusty sage green with a matte, powdery bloom, and they sit close along the stem so the bush reads as full rather than sparse.

At 43cm it is short by design. That makes it the right scale for a bud vase, a bathroom counter or a bedside table, and it is the piece to reach for when a taller arrangement needs filling out at the base.

Eucalyptus is known by several names, so if you have been searching for gum drop gum, silver dollar eucalyptus, baby blue gum or simply faux gum leaves, this is the same rounded leaf shape.

Why You'll Love It

  • Rounded gum drop leaves with a soft matte finish
  • Muted sage green that sits with almost any palette
  • Compact 43cm height, made for smaller vessels and shelf styling
  • Wire cored stems that bend and hold their shape
  • Works alone in a bud vase or as the filler in a fuller arrangement

Styling the Shelf

  • One stem in a small ceramic bud vase, nothing else, on a bathroom counter.
  • Three or five stems in a ribbed or textured vessel from our vase collection.
  • Layered low through a dried arrangement so the round leaves soften all the spiky shapes.
  • Mixed with taller stems from the artificial flora range for height and balance.
  • On a kitchen shelf beside a utensil crock, where a real plant would be forgotten.

Gifting

Three stems and a small vase makes a considered gift, and unlike a bunch of flowers it is still there next month. Pair it with something from our faux flowers for a fuller posy. If you would like a custom arrangement put together, get in touch.

Pairs beautifully with the Bonnie Vase for a ready-made arrangement.

FAQs

How many stems do I need?
One is enough for a small bud vase. For a mid sized vessel around 20cm tall, three to five gives you a full, relaxed shape. If you are building a larger arrangement, use it low and let taller stems carry the height.

Can I bend or trim it?
Yes. The stems have a wire core, so you can fan the branches out and bend them into shape. Trim from the base with sharp secateurs if you need it shorter.

How do I keep it looking fresh?
Dust with a soft brush or a hairdryer on cool. Keep it out of harsh direct sunlight, which fades faux foliage over time, and reshape the branches whenever the arrangement starts to look flat.

In Short

A 43cm faux gum drop eucalyptus bush with rounded, coin shaped leaves in dusty sage green. Also searched as silver dollar eucalyptus or baby blue gum, it is the short, full stem that fills out a bud vase on its own and gives a larger arrangement a soft base.
