A proper pastry brush, made the traditional way. The handle is turned beechwood, smooth and comfortable to hold, and the head is packed with natural bristle rather than silicone, which is what lets it hold and release a glaze evenly instead of pushing it around.

Three widths, and they do different jobs. The 2.5cm is for detail work and small pastries. The 3.5cm is the everyday one. The 5cm covers a tray of scones or a roast in a fraction of the passes. Plenty of kitchens end up with two.

Longer bristles give flexibility and control without going floppy, so it works on delicate pastry and heavy dough alike. Find it alongside the rest of the Dishy range and the wider kitchen collection.

FAQs

Which size should I get?
3.5cm if you are buying one. Add the 5cm if you bake trays rather than single items, or the 2.5cm if you do a lot of fine glazing.

How do I care for it?
Wash by hand in warm soapy water, rinse well, shake out and dry bristles down so water runs away from the ferrule. Do not soak it and do not put it in the dishwasher: heat and prolonged water loosen the glue holding natural bristle and raise the grain on the timber.

Is the bristle natural or synthetic?
Natural animal bristle, not synthetic. If you avoid animal products, this is not the brush for you.

In Short
