Candle Holders

Soy candles from The Aromatherapy Co, sculpted candles and flameless LED pillars sit here beside brass candlesticks, ceramic tea light holders and curved black taper holders. Buy the candle and holder together so the fit is right, and keep a wick trimmer and snuffer close by.

A candle is a nice smell. The holder is what makes it part of the room, lit or not. This collection is the holders and the small tools that go with them, so you can build the arrangement rather than just buy the candle.

There are taper holders including the Hera Curved Black Candle Holders and the Brass Candle Stick, tealight pieces like the Zakkia Silver Tealight Candle Holders, the Billy Ceramic Tea Light Holder and the Aluminium Antler Tealight Holder, and heavier sculptural pieces such as the Pillar Candle Holder in black iron and the Silver Quad Candle Holder. Alongside them sit the wick trimmers, the Therapy Black Candle Snuffer and the Therapy Black Candle & Diffuser Plate. For the candles themselves, see our candles.

Mix heights, keep tones close and group in odd numbers. A plate under a jar protects the timber, and a trimmer and snuffer make the ritual tidier. For scent without a flame, see our diffusers and room sprays.

Will a standard taper candle fit the Hera holders?
Yes, the Hera Curved Black Candle Holders suit standard taper candles. If a taper wobbles in any holder, a drip of melted wax or a little candle adhesive in the base will hold it straight.

Why use a candle snuffer instead of blowing a candle out?
Blowing a candle out sends up smoke and can splash hot wax. A snuffer smothers the flame cleanly and keeps the wick intact for next time, and the Therapy black snuffer looks good enough to leave beside the candle.

Why trim a candle wick?
A long wick burns with a taller, smokier flame and can leave soot on the glass. Trimming to about five millimetres before each light keeps the flame steady and the jar clean.
