Read moreTrays are the quiet workhorse of good styling. They gather the things that would otherwise drift across a surface and give them a reason to sit together, whether that is a candle and a stack of rings on a bedside table, perfume on a vanity, or a jug and glasses on a console.
Our range runs from natural travertine and marble through to timber, metal and glass, in shapes from small round catch-alls to longer rectangular pieces for entertaining. Choose a stone tray for weight and texture, a metal one for a sharper modern line, or timber for warmth against pale interiors.
Can I serve food on a stone or concrete tray?
Zakkia's terrazzo trays are sealed, so you can serve food on them and wash them by hand with a cloth and detergent. Raw concrete trays are better kept away from oil and greasy food, which can mark the surface.
Are decorative trays dishwasher safe?
Most are not. Zakkia terrazzo trays should be hand washed and kept out of the oven, microwave and dishwasher, and stone, timber and metal trays are best wiped with a damp cloth and dried straight away.
What size tray do I need for a coffee table?
Aim for a tray roughly a third to half the length of the table, so there is still clear surface around it. A round tray softens a rectangular table, and a long rectangle suits a narrow console.
What is a sofa arm tray?
The Ned Collections Arm Chair Side Rest sits over the arm of a sofa or armchair, giving you a flat surface for a cup, remote or book when there is no room for a side table. It comes in oak or black.
