Bathrooms and laundries are the rooms nobody photographs and everybody uses. They are also the easiest rooms to improve, because the bar is low and the fix is usually just decanting, hiding, and adding one thing that is not plastic.

Get the bench down to what you actually use. A soap dispenser worth looking at, a tray to hold the three things that stay out, a stack of good towels, a candle for the moment you close the door. In the laundry, matching storage does more for the room than anything else you could buy. It costs almost nothing and it changes how the room feels.
