Wall Art

Blank walls are the most common reason a finished room still feels unfinished. Art is also the thing people put off longest, usually because choosing feels permanent and expensive. It is neither.

Hang lower than you think. Centre at eye level, roughly 145cm to the middle, and if it is going above a sofa or a bed, leave about 15 to 25cm of breathing room above the furniture rather than floating it near the ceiling. One large piece beats three small ones in most rooms. If you are building a gallery wall, lay it out on the floor first and keep the gaps consistent at around 5 to 8cm.
