Japandi Style

Japandi is what happens when Japanese restraint meets Scandinavian warmth, and the two turn out to want the same thing: less, but better. Where Scandi leans light and airy, Japandi goes lower, darker and quieter, with more weight in the timber and more comfort with shadow.

The rules are simple and unforgiving. Every object has to earn its place. Natural materials only, or close enough that the eye is not offended. Imperfection is welcome, so the hand-thrown vase with the slightly wandering rim is the point rather than a second. Empty surface is treated as a feature, not a gap to fill.
