A wall clock is a rare thing in a modern house: a piece of decor that is also the reason you look at the wall. Everyone has the time on their phone, which means a clock now earns its place on looks alone, and the good ones are effectively sculpture that happens to be useful.

Scale is the decision. A clock that feels right in the shop will read as a coaster above a sideboard, so go larger than instinct suggests, particularly on a big blank wall. In a kitchen or an entry, it wants to be visible from across the room. Beside it, keep the wall quiet and let the clock be the event.
