umbra-bevy-oval-mirror-61x91-smoke
Bevy Oval Mirror 61 x 91cm Smoke with Bevelled Edge by Umbra

Turn it, and it becomes a different mirror.

Hung upright, the Umbra Bevy Oval draws the eye up and makes a low-ceilinged room feel taller. Laid on its side above a console or a sofa, the same piece stretches the wall out sideways and widens the room instead. Very few mirrors genuinely work both ways. This one does, because an oval has no obvious top.

At 61 x 91cm it covers roughly the same wall area as the largest round Bevy, but the elongated silhouette carries it differently. Where a circle sits and holds still, an oval has direction, which is why it suits narrow walls, stairwells, and the awkward vertical strip beside a doorway that a round mirror always looks slightly wrong on.

Can it really hang either way?
Yes. It is designed for both vertical and horizontal orientation, so you can decide once it is on the wall rather than committing before it arrives.

The glass is the same specification as the rest of the range: a soft grey smoke cast that warms reflected light, and a bevelled edge polished at an angle around the full perimeter, giving the mirror a border without a frame around it. The full range sits in our mirrors collection.

How is it different from the round Bevy?
Same glass, same bevel, different silhouette. The 61cm round is the compact everyday option and the 91cm round is the statement piece. The oval sits between them in feel, with more presence than the small round but less visual weight than the large one.

Is this an oversized shipping item?
Yes. Please contact us before purchasing and we will provide a custom freight quote for your location.

It suits a housewarming for someone in an older home with high ceilings and narrow walls, or anyone setting up a bedroom where a full-length mirror will not fit.
